INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY
International Development is deeply engrained in the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) Objectives as laid down in Article 2 of its Statute, which reads: “The Agency shall seek to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy to peace, health and prosperity throughout the world. […]” The G77 actively promotes the development aspect of atomic energy by having a strong stance on the importance of Technical Cooperation in the IAEA, and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
